Apevia MX-Pider

That's the 500th or so revision of the ancient Chenming cases that some of us old Gawds built our first rigs in. Not many people use them any more, though. There's better alternatives most of the time. What's your reason for wanting to buy that case and not something more popular and better reviewed? Just wondering, no pressure.

I don't want something that looks squared off and boxy and I don't want something that looks real radical either. I thought this was kind of in between. This is also the price range I would like to stay at. Do you have any recommendations ?

I had looked at that case before, but its a mid tower and I was thinking of going with a full tower this time for some extra room inside. I will take another look at it though.

Thanks

It's pretty roomy in there. If you want more 5" bays, it's brother the 590 has 9 of them. The 690 is kinda stuck with what it's got, but you can buy more cages for the 590.

But hey, I'm not here to tell you right and wrong. Get what you like and enjoy it. That's all that matters.

Haha, that brought me back to the first case I bought by itself. Ended up popping off the front cover. Lost it somewhere :p

(Still have the case. Up until recently, was using it for a server)

looks like crap. just my opinion. Give me a square box look over that any day.

P180 > that thing.

Pretty much any Apevia case is crap. Danny gave you a really great list, although personally I'm partial to the Coolermaster 590 and 690. There's a ton of great budget cases out there, so there's no need to limit yourself to a poor-quality case like that Apevia.

Ahh yes, the Antec Dragon series cases, great cases, but the price for this one is way overpriced considering how long these things have been in production and how many spin-offs have been created from it.

Do you like the Armor's window and little "armor" flaps in the front? Go with the Armor+ MX. Like CM products and a bunch of (some 140mm) fan holes? Go with the 690/590. Have fun deciding. :p

Well, I went ahead and ordered the Thermaltake Armor full tower. Should be here Wednesday. ;)
