Anyone have E8500 E0 stepping??

Apparently so. But not all E8400 are E0 yet. Supposedly Intel should have those out by now and stop making the C0s. You just have to look for the clear batch number to determine that. Don't assume all are E0 because there will still be countless C0 out there.
 
Thanks I will look into the code before purchasing it.

BTW, has anyone experienced any major perfomance boost specially in temrs of OCing and stability in C0 and E0 versions of E8400?
 
I haven't heard of ANYBODY anywhere getting a hold of a retail E0 anything other than the E8600. It will be a month before they're in circulation. Maybe BlubIT will start advertising "E0" Wolfies to purchase.
 
Ya, it doesn't seem that the E0 8400, and 8500 are circulating at all yet. How annoying....
 
I'm with you Camaro, the second I find a E0 E85...I'm diving on it *_* . I'm thinking three weeks or so, we'll see

Don't think any of them (selling) are E0 yet. Haven't seen one forum post claiming so.
 
Well, I went to check out MC and true to my assumption, all E8400 there are still C0. So, time to wait longer. Was checking if they have any E8500 or E8600, nope, none to be seen.
 
For anyone looking for an E0 stepping E8000 series CPU I'd recommend you Google: Filter Summary C2D Desktop. As of 8-10-08 the E8500 was listed as the top Core 2 Duo CPU. On 8-11-08 the E8600 was the top Core 2 Duo listed on Filter Summary! I'll bet that the Day the E0 revisions show up for retail sales that the SLBXX will show up on Filter Summary!
 
The SLBXX are showing up at CPU-World for both the E8400/8500, so I bet it must be out there somewhere. Just gotta find the vendor that has it. That's the hard part.
