Anyone else missing units?

For some reason, I lost a unit yesterday. It was a nice 225-pointer and for some reason, it isn't being shown in my stats.

According to FAHmon, it was uploaded and was completed, so I'm at a loss as to where the missing unit went. Not a huge thing at all, just strange as I've never had a unit go missing.

hey dont worry about it. Sometimes the stats can get overloaded and it can take as much as 3 days before it shows up.

If it doesn't show up after a few days as magnusvir said, I'd suggest contacting the guys at www.folding-community.org. They'll get back with you really quickly and help out however they can.

There has been trouble with Stanfords WU servers lately. This probably has something to do with that. They are supposed to have a backup servers for WU's being returned in case the normal server is down. When that works and it goes to the backup server, it can take a couple of days for the unit to show up. With all the trouble and the number of WU's that were possibly returned in this fashion the past few days, they could be rather backed up. My money would go on this theory.

Also, remember that a little while back they had a bunch of WU's credited to people out of the blue causing a nice jump in stats? That was from something similar. There were a lot of units that didn't get credited to people and they finally got around to getting those done. I would not be surprised if we see something like this again before too long.

Provide these sections of your log and I can look into it.

I have never and have no intention of losing my unit. Thanks for asking. ;)

Hey, congrats on hitting 120,000 points and 500 WU's on the button!

I didn't even notice that. Thanks. I will have to post it in the benchmarks thread. :D

Just an update on the missing credit. This will apply to others who may not know they're missing credit for some of their WUs. I kept track of all the reported WUs with missing credit and then started a thread in the mods section of the FCF. It got Vijay's attention and he discovered the problem with the server that was causing this issue. He is currently testing a fix for that server. After it's determined that the fix is working Pandegroup will go back and issue credit for the people that didn't get any points for their WUs. It will take some time to restore the credit, so please be patient.

Most of the info is in this public thread:

Thanks for the update. Still faithfully tracking every WU, so I'll notice it when it gets credited :)

I think I might have lost one or two in the last couple days. Hope they get it fixed on their end. Thanks for the update.

Recredits finished for vsp69 and vsp03
Last week, we found the problem with two servers and stats credit. Once the problem was fixed, we waited a while before recrediting to make sure the bug on these machines stats system was indeed fixed. We are satisfied and have completed the recredits for the 2 servers giving trouble with the stats system (vsp69 and vsp03).

@ blakex

I checked the WU database and see that you have received credit for the missing WU.
Hi blakex (team 33),
Your WU (P2067 R9 C35 G2) was added to the stats database on 2005-10-18 11:25:00 for 225 points of credit.

ChelseaOilman

Yeah, got home from work and my points were screwy - finally figured I was about 225 off. :)

Thanks much for your help.
