Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My P4 2.8 has gotten I think 13 Tinkers in a row. Talk about wasting the potential of the box. Almost every one of them has been either 239, 241 or 249 point Tinkers, also. My main box is also currently chewing on a Tinker and it is the second in a row.
My two other boxen are currently crunching 600 point Gromacs at the moment.
I've got an XP2000+ with 1.5GB of ram that once or twice a week will get a 100+ pointer, the rest of the time it gets 33 and 36 pointers. I haven't seen it get a tinker in probably 6 months. And yes its set for big packets and everything, I've checked like 90 times.
I got a handfull of the tinkers over the last few days on the P4's but it appears that with the beginning of the weekend, I've been back to gromacs and ambers. The AMD boxen has been avoiding the tinkers like the plague and getting alot of 364 point gromacs.
36 hours for the tinker my AMD's crunching, @2.2 GHz. 240 points. It took me the same amount of time to crunch a 600 point Gromac. >.< Way to kill my processing time, Stanford.
You'd think that they could do the same thing with Tinkers that they do with QMD cores: Only give them to Pentium's.
