Any Reason To Upgrade

Any need to upgrade my current system?I am on the fence between ordering a new desk top system or an Alienware Mx18 laptop.
Building a complete ground up system and the Mx18 come out to about the same cost.
My Dell 17 Studio XPS,is about 2 yrs old and I am starting to notice some slow down on the newer games,having to adjust down my settings.I play each about equally and take the laptop out on the road with me.
So does my current desk top system look okay and would it still be viable for some time?

Think the weakest link is the monitor and maybe the video card?

What you have is fine for the time being. Very capable. At your resolution, that GPU will be good for a few years.

Really no real need to upgrade for now. If there's any part that would be due an upgrade it would be the GPU and that's mainly for power and heat reasons.

Video card or bigger SSD.
The cpu is at stock? You can OC easily with the 212 on it, so no need for a cpu upgrade.(if you needed more power)

New monitor!

I'd get rid of that cheap 22 inch Hanz or whatever LOL and get a real monitor. A 24' 1900x1200 H-IPS would do you wonders:

Thanks for the assist,think i am going to go ahead and get the AW laptop,maybe i can scrape up enough scratch for a new monitor after i get the laptop paid off.
