any issues with a ASUS P5K-E LGA 775 P35 and a PCIe 2.0 video card?

Good to go. PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.1 that P35 and P965 mobos use. So no problems whatsoever. Otherwise the forum would've been flooded with thousands of people complaining about how their 8800GT/HD 3850/HD 3870/ 8800GTS (G92)/ HD 3870X2 wouldn't work with their rig.
