• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

antivirus free

antivirus all suck. defender sucks. just know what it is you're running/executing, don't install byllshit- and that's it
Don’t use an admin account as a daily driver.
Don’t open attachments and links you don’t know or expect.
Windows Defender is pretty good.
Make sure you are up to date on patches.
Run a monthly Trend Micro House call scan.
Not sure if malwarebytes still has a free version, but if so run it monthly to do a scan.

Watching your active processes, CPU and RAM use is really fun. You get to learn what things are reallly doing.

Kinda makes dual screening a minimum per-requisite to use of the information super high way.

false....

You can not browse safe these days, ad networks still get compromised and most user's are the one clicking on Google promoted Ad which can be malicious versus going to the actual site of what they might of wanted.

For those saying Defender is enough, BitDefender free would be better, Defender in Windows can be shut down with a single powershell command and now you got nothing, other AV's do not suffer from this.

Maybe I'm an old timer but I always use antivirus. Norton 10 devices for $20 is acceptable for piece of mind. Now bring on flames... ;)
