Why is the Antec True Power 650W modular PSU so cheap?

Is there something I am missing? (I am posting from a location with no access to google so searching for a review other than on my regular sites is difficult)

It's a good PSU. However it's not a modular PSU. It's semi-modular in where only a few cables are truly removable.

Aha, okay thanks mate!

Do you have any recommendations for a PSU? I would prefer entirely modular

Here is my intended setup for the PSU:
Asus Maximus IV Gene-z
GTX 570
i5 2500k overclocked (up to 1.45v)
2 sticks DDR3
3 hdds

The Antec High Current Pro 750W PSU is a good choice.

Other choices include Corsair's TX650M, 650HX, or 750HX.

The TX650M is no more modular than the Truepower New 650W.
What about the AX650? or is it not worth the extra money?
That depends on what you're looking for. It's fully modular, very efficient, and practically silent. If those are features that appeal to you, then it may be worth it.

The noise level definitely appeals to me, as does the fully modular setup.

On that basis would you recommend it? (the AX)

I would. It's an excellent PSU in just about every aspect. It's all a matter of whether you want to pay the extra cost for its benefits over other available products.

Sorry, didn't read entire thread.
