Got it yesterday. Still have to figure out how to cleanup the wire mess. Overall this case is the best I have owned, well worth the money. It surprisingly quiet too, the monster fan on top is very high quality.

As far as the wiring mess goes, sleeving should definitely help subdue the look of the wires if you have the time and patience.
 
I'm interested in this case, it looks like a nice conversation piece. Is there any way to turn off the LED's in that top fan?
 
Getting a modular sleeved PSU would help lots, I'd imagine. Nice pics though!

I'd bite, except the dust bunnies scare me...
 
There is no way to turn the leds off, but you can change their colors. I'd imagine they are easily disabled by fiddling with the wires. You can also change the speed of the fan.

Dust is of course an issue. But I had some fancy schmancy Antec before this one with a bunch of filters on it and the dust still found it's way in.

What kind of X-Fi is that? My X-Fi has a heat sink. I see a large "out of place" looking capacitor on it, did you mod your X-Fi?


...and that case is freakin' cool as hell.
 
I've done the whole "open frame case" for a while and its cool and all but Tim Sweeny didn't like it.:(

To each their own, I guess. It just seems to add complexity where it isn't necessary, without offering any real benefit (aside from the screw-down point for expansion cards) over running a board on a book and a piece of cardboard. I'd expect more for the kind of cash they're asking. Much more.

It's one of the first x-fi's that came out. It is the xtreme music version. I plan on getting the latest one that is pci-xpress and has a big black metal thing covering it.

Not sure what that capacitor is, but it was bent in that angle accidentally :|
 
Hmm... not a big fan on this case athough I was one of the few people in the world that likes the Asus custom cases...
 
Nice heater for the winter though. Probably more efficient when said and done.

When I leave prime running all day, I come home to a nice warm room.
