Ok I got all my new build gear today. Whilst putting together I noticed there wernt any "special" screws in the black box on the HDD chamber within the P180.

To attach the harddrive on, I need to screw it onto the little support shelf/slide thing. The holes are SO small, are these the 'special' screws they talk of? I dont see any small screws that came in the screw box, or attached to the case.

So im stuck, I called Antec, but they really didnt understand what I was saying. But they're sending out new screws (1-2weeks). I can't wait that long to put a damned harddrive in.

Is there something im missing? What about the lower HDD chamber? how do I rig that up? the manual is useless.
 
To put hard drives in the lower chamber, you have to use the silcone grommets. I think the manual does state how to position the grommets, it should be pretty simple, I can't recall having any dificulty with that. Then you just screw normal hard drive screws through the grommets.

Any tips on cable management? Thinking of just sticking everything down with electrical tape?
 
eww, no...

Just run them where they will be hidden; behind mobo tray, behind drive cages, etc. I usually use zip ties to secure everything; much safer and more permanent than electrical tape.
 
I dont think you can use zipties when trying to run fan cables round the edges and such?

Do all power supplies work with this? Seems like the cables may have to be longer than usual.

I use a NeoHE, and the 12V cable is long enough to make a direct run. It is just long enough to reach from the power supply, go over all the components, and connect. No slack to route with. I think there are actually minimum lengths published for the cables, but I don't remember off the top of my head.
