Antec Gallery Post Here!

My hosted pics came up missing, so I rehosted them and combined all three of my currently used builds...

Here is mine athough I am going to be chnaging my case soon to an Antec 4480B. Also I have since upgraded my video card from this pic to a 9600GT. The one in pic was my older 7600GS Silent. Hope the pic is not too big and cause problems:

Am I the only one who thinks there should be instant bans for anybody who quotes ten photos just for a 4 word comment? Especially when those photos are further up the same damn page.

no, you're not the only one.

some forum scripts automatically remove the image tags when quoting a whole post.

Heres some pictures of my current rig. I did do some dremeling to the case but was very surprised how well thought out the case was for cable management.

Seismicshift, on the Mini P180 (with understanding that it's WIP) -- where do the radiators go for the WC setup? Are you planning to only get by with 1x120 in front? 2x120?

It's actually a TEC unit from Coolit. Will probably go 2x120 WC in the future to cover the whole system. So far the casing hasn't sunk in for me yet. It's looks way better inside than out.

My new video card is here. And of course, I just happen to have a camera handy.

It's friggin' huge! One of the main reasons I went with this one over the GTX 260 was because the GTX 260 supposedly didn't fit in my case with out some bending or cutting. I didn't want any of that.

Notice how long the card is. It's exactly as long as my ATX mainboard. That's 10.5" or 266.7 mm.

I had to use the Molex-PCIe power addapter because I couldn't find my extra cables for my PSU. I wish Antec would've known how easily I lose stuff and not made their NeoHE 550 PSU a modular unit. I guess I'll be placing an order from Antec soon. I'll definitely be trying to tidy up my cables soon.

My girlfriend actually placed the order for me with her ATM card. In with the order, I was surprised to find her belated Christmas gift to me. It's an awesome game. Thank you Chrissie.

The first 2 things I learned about the HD4870 after installing it were that it's loud, and hot. Without any drivers at an idle desktop, the card was idling at 69C. After drivers and manual fan control, It was idling at 45C with the fan at 40%. I ran Furmark 1.6 with automatic fan speed and within minutes it had hit 90C. I stopped it right there.

I had read many Newegg user reviews on all the available HD4870 cards and most said that anything more than 50% fan speed is loud. I had forgotten that sound sensitivity is subjective. My 7900GS wasn't really quiet by any means, but it wasn't distractingly loud. Actually, behind my 120mm and 2x 92mm fans at 12v, plus the Intel OEM heatsink, it's hard to distinguish. The Radeon 4870 is very noticeable at anything more than 25% fan speed. And my computer is quiet, but not SPCR quiet. To combat the issue of temps vs noise, I'm going to be ordering my Scythe Musashi, and Xigmatek HDT-S1283 + bolt-thru kit. My rig will soon be quieter, and OC'd.

I was planning on getting my Asus Xonar D2 sound card, but the HD4870 really pushed upgrading the heatsinks in my computer to a new level of priority. I'm ordering the stuff today. so I'll have more to update on come beginning of next week.

Can I get a few more angles of that video card?? Maybe a larger picture so I can see more rezolu$unz!!!!111ONE111

I know I went a bit overboard on the pics, but I love this card. Yeah, I wish it were cooler in a temperature aspect, and I wouldn't mind it being a bit smaller, but I'm so glad I don't have to worry about buying new games anymore. Even Crysis runs beautifully.

I think the 300 is the best looking mid size case at any price. So, I'm glad it's pretty cheap cause I'm gonna pick one up.

I've been using a $20 case that went into a build for my parents in 2001. Only spare case I had laying around. I painted a bonsai tree on it, but it's a pretty ghetto POS.

Yea, I just noticed that after I posted. Now I'm spending money I really shouldn't spend.

Linux Guy, what's the exhaust 120mm white/black fan that you're using? Is it quiet?

The exhaust fan (and the 2x 92mm intake fans not in the pic) are all from Nexus. The 12cm is quiet. It runs at just under 1100rpm if memory serves me right, and the 92mms are running about 1400rpm. The 12cm fan in the picture is dead quiet. It's running full voltage and it's still dead quiet. The 92mm fans definitely are moving some air because that's all I hear. A slight undervolt will do them well.

Question.

I recently became interested in purchasing a P180 mini for my new pc setup and noticed it was a mATX case. Though based on some reviews I've read and watched, they all suggest that it's probably big enough to fit a full size motherboard in. I like the mini because it reminds me a bit of my beloved lanboy and I want to upgrade.

I was wondering if my new mobo (ASUS M3A78 Pro) could fit in this case?

mini-P180 case will not allow you to use ATX mobo. Not sure which reviews suggest this possibility, but if you look, for example, at the back of the case you'll see that it only allows 4 expansion cards (mATX standard), not 7 like for a standard ATX. ASUS M3A78 Pro will not fit in mini-P180.

Cut out fan grills, Painted Inside and added another GTX 260, runs Awesome now.

Working on this NSK4480 for my server, had to relocate the HD Cage 1.5" Backwards to fit a 120mm fan in front. Paint just got done drying. I love the 8 SATA's on the EVGA 730i

Hey guys, here's the wiring in my brand new Mini P180.

I fricken love this case, such a dream to work with. Total build time including wiring was an hour tops.
