I was thinking of getting this PSU to replace the crappy one that came with the case and doesn't seem to like my ATI Radeon 4650 card. Here are my specs:

AMD Semperon 2600+
Asus K8N Deluxe
1.5GB RAM
Diamond Radeon 4650 Video Card
CD-RW drive
DVD-ROM drive
80GB 7200 RPM HDD
2 Low Speed Case Fans

Many thanks!

While a very good PSU, I would get Corsair 400watt as it is the same range with better out of the box specs.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was actually going to get that one, but the sale ended yesterday. I just called the local computer store and they said they will honor the sale price. So after the instant rebate and mail in rebates it will cost the same as the Antec.

Just out of curiosity, what brand names are the ones to look at now? Back when I built the computer that I am on (the Corsair is for a different one), Antec was the brand to get. But it seems other companies have taken over the "must have" status.

Off the top of my head: BFG (not their GX or GS line), Corsair, Antec, PC&C, Seasonic, etc

Add Enermax and Silverstone to that list.

There are lots of other brands that produce some very good PSUs, but pretty much all of them also offer poor-quality PSUs. The brands above are universally good (except for BFG, whose good PSUs are from the LS, MX, ES, and EX lines; their lower-quality PSUs are no longer being produced AFAIK but are still sold in some places).
