I want to keep this to $500

I already have Power Supply, HD & Optical Drive.

I want a C2D system that is *somewhat* upgradeable. Doesnt have to be a bigtime gaming rig now, but I'd like to build something that would give me options for that later.

So far I have:

CPU+Mobo:

ECS P965T-A (V1.0) Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Combo deal with E6300 is $257.98

Memory:

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB DDR2 667 - $99.99

Video Card:

eVGA 256-P2-N615-TX GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - $109.99 after $20 MIR.

Case:

Rosewill R604-P BK 120mm Fan ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $40 w/ shipping

Total: $508 after MIR....

If I made a mistake pls let me know....the last time I was "into" computers I had a 486 DX2 66...

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!!!

The shipping kills the deal on that case. For $40, you could find an Antec at compUSA instead of a generic home branded case. Though, everything looks good.

The case is $40 shipped, though I agree an Antec for a few dollars more with PSU would be nice....

I know its $40 shipped, because its price is $25 + shipping, lol. In other words, I think the case is worth $25 ONLY... its NOT worth $40. I hear Fry's has the Antec Solo for $50AR.

What do you think about Sapphire Radeon x1600 Pro OC'd 256MB instead to save a few bucks?

or

this one to save even more?

Sapphire Radeon x1600 256MB (Not OC'D)

The second card is $20 less ($40 before the MIR) than the 7600GT Card...

The 7600GT outperforms the X1600. But if you want to save money, go with the Non OC'd Sapphire X1300. But I'd buy the 7600GT so you won't have to upgrade the video card for awhile.

Oh and if you can, try to buy the case locally. It'll be a lot cheaper that way and more than likely, you'll get a better bang for your buck.
