I got my new system and the board (Abit AN8) seems to have compatibility issues with my Sound Card (SB Audigy) ... Basiclly i had a lot of trouble booting and when i removed my sound card it worked great...I love my sound card and i dont want to get a new one...is there a way to fix this problem, maybe new sound drivers or Bios updates...or may it be the onboard sound having conflict with the card...I cant find an option to disable it so i assumed it was auto-disabled itself.....

Help!! ...

Disable the sound in Bios. It is not auto disabled. It should be in a section called "Integrated Peripherals." If all else fails...consult the manual :).

yes, the audigy series of soundcards brought a lot of grief to many users (myself included)
apparently, they do not like sharing IRQs with other devices.
my recommendation would be to try the audigy card in different PCI slots, starting from the bottom one and going up. you just might get it to play nicely.
good luck.
