Hey gang!

If you were to start a brand new build today and the only stipulation was that you had to buy your components from American-based companies, who would you choose? (If the manufacturing also takes place in America, then bonus!)

Some candidates that come to mind are:

Corsair (all kinds of stuff)
EVGA (mobos, nVidia VGAs)
Intel (CPU, SSD)
AMD (CPU, GPU)
VisionTek (VGAs)
DangerDen (cases, case parts)
Kingston (DRAM)
ViewSonic (displays)
Mushkin (DRAM, SSD)
OCZ (DRAM, SSD)
Western Digital (HDD, SSD)
Seagate (HDD)

Case - Antec.
PSU - Antec
Motherboard - I Guess your looking at an Intel as I cant think of anyone else made Here
CPU - Intel by default because of the above motherboard
Ram - Crucial
SSD - Crucial (while OCZ is an option for both of these, there a lower quality product & I dont know that there made in the US, Where I know Crucial is (Right here in boise Idaho))
HDD - WD Over Seagate any day of the week
GPU - Beyond what you have already names I cant think of anyone better be it nv side or amd side. Also of note both chips are American based as well.

Ahh I see. I always thought they were separate companies with Crucial merely rebadging Micron tech.

Antec PSU are not made in america. Company is, though....
How do you make an America... %#*@ yeah! thread and not include Patriot!

Patriot is Taiwan, iirc.
Micron is crucial.

Yep :) Micron created the Crucial brand for themselves.

In my opinion your not going to find good quality or a big list of stuff going with just American-based companie's. Im assuming your not from America or something. I guess im confused here :) as always.

Bullshit.. On my list everything is a name brand who makes very high quality components.. The only real drawback is a lack of "enthusiast" class motherboard.

To my knowledge there aren't any other motherboard manufacturers (besides intel) in the US that make high quality shit.

Sad, but true.

I want you to look at your grammar, then look at what you just said, as opposed to REALITY, then rethink what it is you are doing posting.

You should be banished to using ONLY foreign products, including a CPU and operating system, until you wise up.

Aren't RAM chips on the module made by Samsung or other non-American companies?
So RAM isn't 100% american is it?

Also, Antec cases...yuck.

Crucial RAM is made in America, by Micron :D A BAMF partnered with Intel in Boise, Idaho :p. Intel SSD and Crucial SSD NAND IC are also made in America, my IMFT (Micron+Intel joint venture in USA).

Also, to be honest, many mainland China companies are run or owned by Taiwanese companes. So adding more credence to the Armageddon screenpic earlier in this thread :)

And the only Antec case I like is my P180m, a well designed, but possibly the largest, mATX case, well geared for silence (though less so vs the other P18x/P19x cases).

lmao, you think us Americans have high standards for our "English", then go on to "unAmericanize" someone else? Puhleez, the definition of being American is to F(*&#$ teh graamerz and vocrapular.

And this thread is going to become a nationalistic bashing thread anyhow. Vote to close.

The thread started out with, "America, Fuck yeah!" what else could it do? :p Pay for GenMay? :D

Nice to see you doing your part trying to boost the US economy... even though it's 90% originating from overseas in some capacity.

My advice, if you really want to be patriotic, go for the best deals no matter the source and pay off your credit.

:p

That has more to do with just being plain sensible.

Have you ever argued with organic food diehards? Man.... arguing religion or nationalism is easier than that.
