I have Amd x2 3800+ socket 939 processor and i am trying to get a scythe ninja(SCNJ-1000) cpu cooler but i am not sure if it will fit my processor....

it will fit your processor for sure but don't know if it will fit your mobo or not, what's your mobo?
 
Honestly, I can't see going away from the plain XP-90 which you can get for $30 with a fan from www.svc.com. Compatible with just about everything. That's what I use on my 3800+
 
Yah, hands down the XP-90 is the best deal on a heatsink, go for that.
 
The Ninja will fit. I've had really good exp. with it. Especially with 2 120's in push/pull.
