so i did a clean install of my win 10 pc but i dont see my amd chipset software installed BUT everything is working fine. IM trying to also update my bios ( gigabyte x470) and its saying from the gigabyte website i must have this ver or higher AMD Chipset Driver 18.10.20.02 i dont see this version number on the amd website?

I think that's just for the IGP on the Ryzen 2XXXg chips. I had the same thing on my ASRock X470 board.

Here's a link that will get you chipset drivers with that version. I don't think it would make a difference.

I have the Gigabyte Aorus X470 wifi 7. Or some combination of those...

Anyway, I wanted to upgrade to the F6e bios and saw the same "must update AMD chipset first" note. The file, as you've noted, is a pile of...stuff. The only thing I got the chipset download to do was update my Radeon driver.

I went to the AMD site and saw an older/earlier chipset for the B470. It didn't seem to work.
