Eh, I have a hard time paying out well over $200 for a 3 year old CPU on a 6 year old platform.

^ Truefax. I picked up an 8230E from Microcenter with a board for <100$ in November. 60$ got me 16GB RAM off the forum.

I think this is a solid deal for someone who needs a budget box for the basics.

Yeah, there are two reasons for this deal:

1. G4560 $65 4-thread Pentium can be built with similar other specs for around $200, and trades blows with this processor in games (video shows clock-for-clock comparison between Kaby 4 thread versus FX 8-core):

2. Zen is two months out.

Pointless to buy this now. Would have been a fantastic deal last year.

Keep in mind that FX-8320 likes to run hot, like in the 60s. The i5 4670k I have (with Zalman 320 AIO cooler and overclocked to 4.1 GHz) runs around 25 while browsing the internet and goes up to the high 40s while gaming ( according to Core Temp software).
