who better for gaming AMD Phenom AM2985QBB (Quad Core) 9850 Bl or q9550?
 
Really depends on the game actually. At above 1280x1024 or so, many games are GPU limted rather than CPU limited. With those games, the difference between the Phenom 9850 and Q9550 is virtually nil. However, there are a few games out there that are CPU heavy (Source based games for one) so in those cases, the Q9550 will beat the Phenom 9850.
