Amber LED inside PSU?

I noticed something odd with my PSU today (BFG EX 1kw)... there appears to be an amber LED inside the unit. Or, at least... I hope its an LED. I cannot tell exactly what it is. It appears to be behind where the power cord plugs in. I did my best to snap a picture of it, but it really only shows up clear enough in the dark. I've had this PSU for over a year now, and never noticed it until today. I suppose it's possible its been there the whole time... but I think I would have noticed it. There is nothing that isn't working properly, but amber leds don't usually mean good things. Is this an indication of a problem?

Its possible, maybe someone here has one and can tell you. If you are really that worried about it, take a sniff. If its hot enough to light up like that then you should smell burning PCB.

And for future reference, there is a breakopen of that psu

That was the first thing I did. No odd smell, no smoke, no heat. I don't think anything is burning. I still think its odd, and I think if it had been there for the life of this PSU I'd have noticed it before now.

you can aslo start looking online for some other reviews that can tell you something about that LED light.
maybe they say something about the light being on when the powersupply is powered or it's getting power or something.

I did, I searched everything I could think of, not a single mention of an LED inside the unit. Not in reviews, not in manuals, couldn't even find a mention of it on a forum or something.
