Just sent back my VP201B (couldnt handle backlight and screen door)

So I need to order a CRT. I picked the Nec/Mits. 930.

Now the choice is between Amazon and newegg.

Amazon seems to have a better return policy, is a little cheaper but the shipping is slower and retailreviews.com did not rate them as high as newegg.

Newegg is about 5 dollars more, the return policy seems a little more stiff, but the shipping is faster and at retailreviews there score is HUGE.

And suggestions?

A good return policy, or at least one that doesn't screw the consumer, is always the best choice, expecially if the choices are that close. Go Newegg for everything else though...

for me my only option would be newegg. my acct is set up there and im too lazy to get another one some place else. also their shipping is great and their prices are LOW. what more can you want?

Theres 2 differences within Amazon

Buying from Amazon, and Buying from a Seller on Amazon.

Go with amazon, or go with Newegg.

For something like a monitor, I think I'd buy locally, especially since it's a CRT (lots of weight). But that's just my $0.02

A good return policy on monitors? Not to say its terribly bad, but Monitorsdirect among others beat them hands down.

Sucks, where do you live?

Orono, Maine. It is near Bangor. We have a staples, circuit city and Best Buy but they don't have anything really. A really poor selection of monitors. Circuit City is the best of the bunch.
