So.... Can you buy AM3 mobo and procs with a Nvidia graphics card or not??

I really dont wana go AM2+, if IM gunna build a new machine.

Any help?
 
You can use Nvidia cards on AMD chipset motherboards with absolutely zero problems. You just can't use SLI. Get it?

Can you link me a mobo that could use AM3 proc, DDR3, and a Nvidia GPU?
 
what he's trying to say, is that you can use Nvidia GPU on any am3 board, you just won't be able to use SLI, which is more than one gpu linked together.

You can use a Nvidia Video card with ANY of those motherboards. AMD motherboards, or any motherboard in fact, are not hardwired against a certain video card brand like Nvidia or ATI. In other words, YOU CAN USE A NVIDIA VIDEO CARD WITH AN AMD OR INTEL MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. You just can't use SLI on AMD and certain Intel motherboard chipsets. Get it?
 
Well technically you can use SLI on those boards but for that you'd need hacked Nvidia drivers that doesn't cockblock AMD chipsets... Theres also the option of a GTX 295.
 
wow... i was under the impression that there were no AM3/DDR3 mobos that could support a Nvidia graphics card. Thanks guys. I appreicate all the help.

I am building a system for the Nvidia 3D vision, and you need a pretty beefy PC to be able to play online with no issues.... your fps pretty much gets cut in half, so if I wana play L4D at 60fps, my PC needs to be able to retain 120 FPS in a HIGH rezolution (im playing on a samsung hl61750 DLP) with no problems.
