What is the stock heatsink that comes with an am2 processor? Also, do 939 heatsinks work for am2 in case I want to upgrade?

The stock heatsink that came with mine is an aluminum block with a 60mm fan on top. It's about 3in tall and a good couple hundred grams. Kept my single core at 15C idle/18C load, according to the BIOS and AMD's Dashboard. The Zalman CPNS9500AM2 keeps it a few degrees cooler if the BIOS is to be believed.

wow 15c degrees ? 15 degrees Celsius = 59 degrees Fahrenheit that is artic weather?

Lol, onboard temperature sensors FTL.

Seriously, I doubt you're loading anywhere under 40c with the stock HSF, unless you're running your setup... well, as said above, at the Arctic circle

Wow your onboard sensors are bork. That is not right at all. You may want to give the manufacture a call. Try speedfan to see what the core says.
