I use a heatgun to bend the acrylic.
On the right side of the piece of acrylic you see a thing I made from some MDF. It is to be able to bend the material more precise. It has a corner that is a bit curved, this makes it easier to bend the material more precise.
The area from the switches will be modded too. I mean this area.
I will use some material that normally is used to blind windows. It will take care of the problem behind the aluminium covers. Now you can see throuh the transparant acrylic and see all the cables and the switches.

Though the airflow behind the aluminium cover, over the mainboard, is quite strong I didn't want to risk the mosfets to get overheated. It is situated in the lower right corner. When I found this cooler for the mosfets I just had to figure out a way to use this.
I needed some fittings with a 90 degree bend, because the mosfets are just behind the radiator in the back. Very little room there.
I found these blue fittings.

Problems with the delivery of the LEDS. They were send to me 2 weeks ago, but seem to be lost I will have to wait another week or two before the new ones will be send to me. Because of this I had time to think about the window. I came up with a simple design that fits in the theme of the case. A rough sketch it

Thanks for the reply. I wish there was a place in the US to get these. Let me rephrase that, I wish I could be able to find some in the US. Googleing for it comes up with this kind:

Had to wait for about four weeks, the shipment was lost Started working on the LEDS today. Man what a lot of LEDS. 37 LEDS under the grill and about 30 LEDS in the case itself. Untill now I used 10 meter of wire. Every LED has its own resistor. Next update I will post some pictures of the LEDS with the wires and some pictures from the polished aluminium parts. I have to put on my sunglasses when I look at the aluminium

I got a great offer from a Dutch webshop, they offered to make some custom made appliques for free. I only have to send them some vector graphics and they will make them for me. This logo
(the grey background will be transparant)
will come over here on the chromed FMJ house

All 61 resistors are attached to a wire. I'm ready for the next step, cutting the acrylic that will be place over the printboard with some spacers. Every wire will go through seperate drilled hole, this to avoid the wires touching each other and ofcourse it will tidy up. I used six different colours of wire. This way it is easier for me to differentiate the four seperate groups of LEDS ( every group on its own switch)

Very nice work. This is comparable to TribalOverkill's mod Blackout. Great aluminum and acrylic work.

I didn't want the fans to be visible so I had to cover them with some aluminium. First I made a wooden block that is just as big as a 120mm. fan
I bend a piece of aluminium around it.
A testfit on around the fan.
Just bent the ends outside to be able to mount it with a bolt.
I drilled two holes in these ends for the bolts.

Looks amazing, that's a lot of hard work and impressive self-fabrication skills on your part. Why the choice of green UV acrylic?
Are you cutting the acrylic by hand? Like... without the aid of stationary machinery? If you are, I gotta bow down and say wow. I've never been able to cut a straight line in Acrylic without the use of a table saw. I hope you can get some great shots of this when it's finished. Pay to have it photographed. Very nice work.
