Alphacool VPP755 Eispumpe (D5 version) Seems that Alphacool has updated their pump to a new modern version with less power consumption, PWM, sleeved cables, different pump colors, metal casing, etc.

Poor Alphacool guy is so hyped over this pump that I want to buy one to make his next video even more cheery. Turn your speakers on for the full effect.

 
I wonder if I can replace the D5 pump in my XSPC pump/res combo.

The currentone just doesn't have the acoustic properties I had hoped for.

Also wonder if doing this would help, or if all D5's pretty much sound the same.

Well, supposedly it's an all new design (shorter, but maybe slightly larger diameter... couldn't really tell in the video), including a new bearing, so it'll likely be different. Better or worse is subjective for the most part, though it is supposedly quieter. Reviews will be interesting.
