Hope our Asus guys can help out.
I have the P8P67 (standard) with an i7-2600k (no overclocking, nothing special). I started waking up to blue-screens as my new box tried to wake up and record programs at night. I got minidump files from the crashes, and with the help of the windows guys:
http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7repair/thread/dd07219c-3ec0-4b99-85b0-48054c4e037e
We determined:
bluescreen reason: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
bug code: 0x0000009f
Param 1:00000003
The bug code with the param 1 indicates that the blue-screen was caused by 'a device object has been blocking an IRP for too long a time'
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff559329(v=vs.85).aspx
When you debug the minidump:
http://mattfife.net/special/minidump/012311-28173-01.zip
you get the source of the failure as:
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x9F_3_AiCharger _IMAGE_usbhub.sys
Which is the Asus AiCharger tool used for optimizing the charging of iTunes/iPhone devices:
http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/ai_charger/
Normally, I don't have any trouble with my machine's wake/sleep cycle; but it appears I shouldn't leave my iPhone attached when sleeping overnight. I'm going to give it a try tonight to see if I get a bluescreen.
Alternatively, I can't just disable the AiCharger because then the iPhone won't USB connect and sync.
I have the newest AISuite you guys just dropped.
Anyone else seen this?
