AHCI Bios not found

I recently switched my computer to a new case and I'm getting this obscure error. My motherboard can't see either of my hard drives. I tried all the standard stuff:

- Removed CMOS battery to cycle board power
- Ensured motherboard is in AHCI mode
- Restored Failsafe settings
- Reseated all physical connections

My motherboard is a Gigabyte H55N-USB3.

Google has no documentation on this error, any hunches?

The motherboard itself can't see them? As in not even in the BIOS? Could be bad cables, improper wiring, or a dead SATA controller. Try other SATA ports. If you happened to put your 2 drives on 2 ports that are controlled by the JMicron controller (well I assume it has one of those, anyway, given the age) then try Intel ports. And if they are on Intel ports now, try JMicron ports because maybe your Intel SATA controller died.

(Could also be a Marvell controller rather than JMicron... Most mid-to-high-end consumer boards that age had one of those 2 brands)
