AGP X4 and X8 performance difference??

I just snagged a Radeon HD2600 512M AGP for 20.00 bux on Ebay to upgrade my son's PC from the ancient 8500LE in it. This will put my his machine in DX9 gaming finally.
His computer is a old P4 2Ghz machine. Old but rock solid reliable. It is very similar to my work system which is a P4 2.6 Ghz machine. I run Ubuntu Linux and have the same card (HD2600). But I forgot something. His PC has the older AGPx4 slot and mine has the AGP x8.
The fastest card I ever had in my AGP x8 PC was a x1950. It was silky smooth on games like BioShock which was just out at that time. But I have to wonder, is the x4 slot on his PC going to be a bottle neck?
Any ideas?
 
with the HD2600 probably not, with something like an X1950 or 3850agp then maybe, the agp4x has soemthing like 1Gb/s bandwidth and the 8x is 2Gb/s
