I have 3 pc's that have AGP I would like to upgrade and give them away to some buds that can not afford a gaming pc. I would like to know what is the best current (Probably last) Agp card out there that may help them play some games?

Current games they're playing are mainly mmo's like Swg,Coh, a few other mmo's can't remember the names but know it's not Conan,Vanguard or WAR.

i don't know if there is a newer one but i know ATI made a 3850 AGP

i have been trying to keep my eye out for an X1950Pro AGP too for my AGP rig.
 
H-street do not use the x1950 pro AGP card.. its severely bottlenecked with the pci-e to AGP bridge.. i had one for about 3 days when i realized my x1650pro was owning it in every game i had..

but yeah the 3850's about the most high end agp card thats been released..
 
So the 3850s are better than the 1GB 4670s? I've been eye-ing the 4670s due to their lack of a power connector.

Just remember, the 4670 is a low end part vs the 3850 being a high end part from a recent gen. The odds are likely that the 3850 will outperform the 4670.

Heh, woops forgot the 3xxx series was the AA dog, heh probably go with the 4670.
 
On newegg, a 3850 AGP will set you back $95 + shipping, and a 4670 AGP will cost $110 + shipping. Expensive presents that will probably be severely bound by whatever CPUs you have, unless they're high-end 939 motherboards. Look for used AGP cards.
 
Yeah I use the 3850 agp overclocked to 3870 Speeds. but upping my processor clocks gives me the most performance
