XP2000 wont run over 12.5x140 even at 1.75v

I'm using:
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe with the latest BIOS...
Infineon PC3200 1 gig of matched sticks.
clean Windows Pro XP at teh minimum.
Deep Impact DP102 LE2004 with two Sunan 50cfm fans, isolated and ducted.
Thermaltake purepower 420 with really strong rails.

1753 is better than nothing (52C at 33.3 ambient).... but I liked my 1700 that ran 148x16 (59C at 33.3 ambient BUT with less air) at stock voltage with 25cfm fans with my deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep impact cooler. yup... scratch yer nuggets... that's 2368, 2370 after decimals. less than 80 mhz from the record according to these idiots: http://www.cpudatabase.com/CPUdb/Showamd.cfm that was before the Sunan fans. with a volt mod to 2.0 and the new fans... I could own that record. This board/PSU/HSF deserves better....

let me OC and work your useless XP processor to its limits....

I need a donation.

...gonna buy a 3200+ to see where this board's limit is.

anybody have $200 I can waste ?

why should I buy a chip that OC's to 2.2 when i can buy a chip that is suppose to that with stock cooling and voltage?

Isnt that like spending 300 dollars to make a 100 dollar CPU perform like a 200 dollar processor ?

I need pure power... I want to be teh first 3.0 Ghz using conventional tools/air.

I don't catch what your saying... Maybe it's late. The 3200+ XP runs at 2.2ghz & 400fsb and costs $200. The XP-Mobile 2600+ runs at 2ghz, 266fsb, and costs around $100. I was just saying that you may want to consider the XPM cause it should hit atleast 2.4 ghz for less money that the 3200+.

I'm assuming my rig should do much better than that... unlock it... and go from there.

Why should I settle for 2.4 or 2.5 from AMD ? I want math... i want pure geek sliderules.... I'm looking for an idiot servant....I have lives to save here. I need a processor that can fold like its it job.

I don't think you know what you're talking about, either that, or you're trying for sarcastic wit and it's just NOT coming across.

I'll take it that you're not trying to be funny and really haven't a clue... Appologies if you're trying to be funny.

AXP's will never reach 3.0GHz from an XP without LN2. Period. End of story. Have a nice day. Really. It's been tried. Air gets you to 2.8 with REALLY good mobile XPs.

You already have invested a reather nice cooling ducting whatever setup. Why waste more money on a chip that does 2.2 stock, and won't OC as well, when you can pay less than half, and get a chip which can OC to high holy hell? There's no logic here.

I really hope you're trying to be funny, because if you're not... well.. relic will need to lock this thread fast.

No insult meant here, is early sunday morning, and I've got no friggen coffee, and ... just yeah. 3200 bad. mobile 2600 good, especially if you're already overclocking. no excuse not to.

Basically... getting a mobile XP is what it takes. They'll go higher than any 3200+ out there.

My mobile 2400+ 35 watt is currently running 2.5 Ghz. I know it can do more and I'll probably get at least 2.6 out of it eventually, I just don't have the time to mess with it right now for stress testing and finding the best multiplier/FSB options.

XPm2500 @ 2.5ghz here (1.45v , 266fsb stk)
tops out at 2.650 with 1.8v , aircooling , very relaxed mem timings

i'd like to see someone make a rubik's cube out of socket A sockets
