Advice on good IEMs?

I am no audiophile but I'm someone that likes to listen to a lot of music. Currently I use the Panasonic RPHJE120K which goes for like ~$7 on amazon. While it's a good cheap in-ear headphone which is pretty good for its price, it does not compare to the quality of my V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Headphones. The reason I do not use my headphones often is because I have sensitive ears and cannot wear the headphones for long periods of time.

Anyone have any recommendations on a good quality IEMs up to $300? I am looking for something similar to the M100 which has its emphasis on good mids but still has a nice kick for the bass. I prefer something with a durable cable and with as little microphonics (cable noise) as possible.
 
Beyerdynamic Dx/DTx series should be good for you in the $50-150 range. Like their headphones, good bass, more than most brands. Less treble than many other brands (which is easier to fix with EQ than bass is, should this bother you). Mids should be OK but Sennheiser and some other brands might be a bit better there.

Not sure if you can buy/try IEMs from places like Guitar Center, but you can try headphones there. Many brands have similar sounding products between headphones and IEMs, though this is not an absolute rule. Beyerdynamic is one brand that is fairly good about it - if you like their headphones, you should also like their IEMs and vice-versa.

Sennheiser should also be a pretty good choice.

There are many brands of IEM I haven't tried, though, such as Shure (a well-known and well-liked one), Ultimate Ears, Etymotic, etc.
 
Thanks for all your great advice I will take a look at these and reviews of them and decide on which I may like the best.
