Advice Needed : 980ti for $250?

980 ti still is prety damn good lol. i was very suprised as to how close it was to a 1080 card, cause i had on in my rig and compared... excluding the titan cards, 1070ti - 1080 - 1080ti 3 cards behind, amd idc about, did they catch up to 980ti performance yet? haha. for 1070 vs 980 ti i guess 1070 is better on amount of vram, power, but a 980ti is a faster card, thinking overclocked states.

I just swapped my 980ti in my VR flightsim rig for my 1080 that was in my regular gaming rig. For regular gaming the 1080 is about 10% faster but in VR the 1080 is at least 20% faster. I am going to sell my 980ti soon most likely and get a 1080ti for the VR rig. Even a 1080 isn't enough for DCS in VR. It will be a few years probably before a card exists that can run that sim in full detail at 90fps. I'm lucky to get 30-45fps with moderate to high settings in DCS VR now with the 1080.
