I currently have some Corsair XMS (specs in sig). I have 512mb( 2 256's), and would like to up to a gig. Do you think it would be alright to get a stick of 512(prob corsiar again), even though I have those 2 matched 256's in dual channel? Or do you think I dont even need it? Any help would be great. Thanks

Depends on your needs. Do you run low on ram when you run your programs and games? If yes, go for another 512 megs.

Since you have an AMD setup, the difference between single and dual channel isn't much. You might benefit more buy having the full gig....and depending on if you run Photoshop or not, no pagefile.

I run photoshop and play games alot.

Games load faster with no pagefile, but Photoshop requires one. I switched to PaintShop Pro so I could do away with my page file.

Actually, putting a 512 meg stick in the third slot should allow you to run dual channel anyway. I don't say it will run dual channel because the third stick may not play well with the other two.
