Building my new system when it gets here soon.

I have 2 - 80g Seagate SATA's on my current win2000 system.
One is obviously for storage and the other contains the OS.

My new system will have a 250g Seagate SATA (the mobo can handle 4 SATA total).

I am assuming I can leave the 2 old drives alone (no formatting), load the new OS (XP PRO) on the new SATA, and then go and get what I might need from the 2 older drives before I reformat them?

Just double checking because I haven't done this before.
Hope I said this correctly.

Thanks

OBTW:

Just got this from Newegg

Sounds like a plan to me!

Don't plug those old drives in untill after the new OS is loaded and ready to go. Even then, booting your machine may be a little tricky when both drives with OSs are "seen", and your old drive may have to be put in a USB enclosure to remove the data.

Have fun and good luck!
