Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have another psu laying around. Is it possible to "add" it to my rig and have it power my video ced exclusively? I've hit an overclocking wall with my vp450
Putting two powers supplies in your computer has been a recurring subject in our forums for years. While the physical process of making that happen is not exactly rocket science, it still can be daunting for some users. Today we show you a few products that make it easy for anyone to double up on the power should your wattage needs increase.
Yes, make sure it has enough amps over the 12v line, A 300w PSU wont be able to give a pure 300w to a video card, and check the Amps too. One thing is i'd avoid mixing PSUs on individual components. So if a card needs 2 6pin plugs, get them from the same PSU.
Yea basically I want to power the video card with the second psu. What's happening is I can't achieve an overclock higher than around 3 ghz. I can get to 3.2ghz. Stable in prime95 and even ran furmark just to stress the system. All's fine. As soon as I load into a bf3 match my PC reboots with no error. Whcih to me basically means the psu doesn't have enough juice to power everything and drops. This is where the second psu comes into play
