Adaptec RAID HBA Power Management

Hi,
I have a problem with the power management with the controller Adaptec RAID 5805.
During inactivity the HDDs will be turned off according to the policy set in ASM, but the HDDs cyclically spin up again without any request from the system.
To be sure that there was no activity on the logical devices, I set (in Windows) the devices offline.
I've updated all drivers (aacraid) and firmware and the system works perfectly except for the problem mentioned.
Does anyone have experience about this problem?
 
firmware bug? I other than some very select things (like smart polling) I would think any data the OS might be doing (if a small amount anyway) would eventually just be cached by controller anyway so it would not spin up the disks.

I tried the controller 5805 in another system. I had only connected two HDD in RAID1. The system HDD was connected to the SATA controller integrated into the motherboard (in my system instead also system HDD are managed by the controller).
With this configuration, the idle HDD not turned back on.

So I came to suspect that the cause is due to the flush of the controller cache.
Then I buy another controller 5805ZQ from eBay for a cheap price and a Samsung SSD 850 Pro configured as cache.
Now the problem is solved, the idle HDD does not come back on as I wanted.
Also the performance is greatly improved.
