I made a backup .tib file and saved it to my desktop. it is 19 gb and I am trying to drag it to my external HD that has 95gb free space and it is giving me a message saying there is not enough space. It does not make sense to me, anyone have this problem?

That is an awfully big file for the desktop. Try to copy it in a file manager like windows explorer.

If its a usb drive I have had the same issue. For some reason unknown to me you cannot move a single file that is over a few gigs to a usb hdd.

If your USB drive is formated FAT32, you're running in to the 4gb filesize limit. You could split the file using ZIP or RAR

Or format the drive temporarily to some other format, such as NTFS. I'm really surprised that acronis doesn't have the option to split up images by now (unless they do, and we're missing it).

The nature of Acronis True Image means generated backup files can grow to gargantuan size. To combat the limitations of some file systems, the program will split archive images into smaller chunks (4 Gb when working with FAT 32, for example).
I'm sure he already knows by now, it's just operator error.
