I was installing the stock cooler of my i7 when I realized that that it'd be easier to connect the fan's power cable if I changed the orientation, but when I released the fan from the motherboard I accidentally pressed my finger against some of the thermal grease at the bottom of the fan.

While the thermal grease looks uneven now, this probably isn't anything worth worrying about, is it?

It will technically harm thermal transfer slightly, but since you're using the stock heatsink anyway, the difference isn't significant enough to matter. You'll be fine.

Per above, you will be fine, it will flow out under heat and pressure to be even.
