I just wanted to say, I received mine today and it is a HUUUUUGE difference. Idle temps went from 52c to 36c. Load temps went from 91c to 52c. Unbelievable. You can't even hear this thing. Granted, it is expensive and huge, but for someone like me who sleeps in the same room as their computer, it's incredible! I'd buy it if it were $100.

Personally modding my case to account for the added heat to enable it to stay at 27% fan on idle is plenty good. I sleep with my rig a meter from my head. Although it is more expensive to go as far as I did.

How are furmark temperatures and were you able to overclock higher vs stock cooler?

I'm seriosly considering purchasing AC 4870x2 XTREME so I can get lower and even temps on both cores. With stock cooler at some additional voltage I can hit 832 stable at 100% fan but temps still go up into 80C on one of the cores. Has anyone done any serious before / after OC testing?

Did you have a hard time installing it? Other folks reported that they did.

I haven't played around with overclocking it too much. I was at I'm using CCC for temp monitoring so I can only see 1 core though I would assume both are about equal since the fans are now evenly distributed on the entire cooler. Overclocking allowed me to go from 777core to 800 and the memory I kept the same at 925. I get artifacts at anything higher. I don't think I have the greatest card.

As for the VRM's, the cooling is still the same as stock contact-wise, however with the card running cooler overall and the additional airflow I'd imagine that helps a great deal.

As for the install, it's not really THAT much of a pain if you follow the directions, but the X pieces which attach directly behind both GPUs are tough to get back. I had to bend mine and remove the springs from the screws in order to be able to get the screws to catch. I was doing that for about 15 minutes trying to figure it out.

One other thing, if you're running an Antec P180 or 182, you will have to remove the upper harddrive bay as it no longer fits. The cooler is actually slightly longer than the stock one and hits the side of the bay. Now a bunch of my wires are exposed :(. Not so clean but whatever.

I'll take some pictures and post them when I can. Maybe at some point tonight!

I enjoy this cooler very much, the only downfall IMO is that it takes up so much space on my motherboard, it uses about 3 pci slots or so. Although it is a great cooler non the less
