AC Relay dealy

I am building an external WC case and I was considering wiring up my own relay to control the AC pump. Doing a search I found this thing and it is perfect. Because I will be using this in an external chassis, I will be rewiring it with a better switch and computer style AC input.

Anyway, has anyone had any problems with this thing? Could someone let me know the current capacity of the relay, or fuse rating? I plan to control a pump which is rated at .8amps as well as a fan.

BAH, looked at the zoom pic and you can see its a .5A fuse. Bah, back to making my own.

I think your better off making your own. I like to have the water running prior to turning the PC on. And I like to leave it run a few seconds after turning it off.

The big issus is making sure that the water is on before the PC is on otherwise Poof! Thats easier to wire. You just splice into the power supply's switch wire.

What are you using for an external case, pump etc? I am wanting to do this as well.

I will post pictures of of my external case once it arrives.

I found this:
http://store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/QK43
Comes with all the parts. Can handle some power. Good price, besides the 10 dollar shipping from Canagdia. If I can find the parts around my house I still may just put one together myself.

Add a power diode across the coil to prevent back emf into the power supply and a fuse on the 120V side and you are done.

Aw man, these are sweet. Who doesnt like LEDs and push to test buttons? :D I may even have sockets for them. Unfortunatly I already put a bid in on something less beefy.

Dear god man. I have a 250GPM pond pump that I use to power my loop and that thing draws .3A. I cant imagine drawing a 1/2 amp! Unless you are using a sump pump or something that fuse should take care of any pump that you guys normally use.

With that said I have never burned the fuse out in that relay card. Hope I never do either. No failsafe at that point!
