ABIT LG-95C

Looks like it would do the same thing any other PCIe x16 slot running at x4 bandwidth would do. You can probably even run crossfire if you wanted.

That being said, the 945/ICH7 Chipset isn't exactly the best out there. Definitely a budget board at this point.

Thats wat i was thinking like the gigabyte board. Thanks dawg! Someone should give a review on this mobo.

I'd be interested in it also. Probably a good budget server since you can drop in a x4 HDD controller and a video card. Or a Physics card. But it's kind of pointless as there isn't room for a double wide video card. Very strange all around. I kind of wonder what Abit was thinking. Plus I can't imagine it clocking very well. 350mhz or so is probably the max on the bus.

Ya when i was looking at it i was wondering why they put it right next to the slot. Abit hasnt been soo good this time around, they messed up with a lot of boards especially the f-i90hd. Pissed me off, 100 and something bucks for something that was over hyped for us sff guys.
I want i sick ass board out of abit and i will buy it on the spot even if its atx. Oh newegg has a q35 m atx board out right now, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121097.

well, abit didn't make the chipset & enable CF on it so what were Intel/ATi thinking ... :p
Should make a good server though with a PCI-E RAID card though.

Personally I think that the AB9 QuadGT & the IP35 series have been pretty kickass mobos.;)
Again, with F-I90HD abit didn't make the chipset they only used it.
whatever the problem was on the early boards it seems to have been resolved in later production & people still say that it's the nearest thing to a perfect 775 HTPC mobo that there is.

i never said it wasnt a good htpc, but before it was hyped up for overclocking. and abit still could have made it better. havent used those mobos you mentioned but heard mixed reviews

I don't think that you'll actually be able to trace any of the hype to abit though - most of it seemed to come from the community & their hopes & 1 retailer that I know of hyped it pre-launch.
How could abit have made it better - it appears to be a chipset limitation?

I have & they are regarded as amongst the best 965/P35 mobos that you can get (in the QuadGT's case quite possibly the best 965 of all).

well, you can't blame abit for the hype by users on this forum especially before the board was actually in retail.

The QuadGT is not a basic board so it's not cheap compared to one but by comparison to equivalently specified boards from other mfrs imo the QuadGT wasn't expensive compared to it's peers in the same way that the IP35 series aren't expensive compared to theirs.

QuadGT is around $110 at newegg right now. 965 still isn't a bad board, especially if you're considering a 945 IGP chipset.

i never considered it i was just wondering about it, i already have a f-i90hd. and yes thats true i cant blame abit, and thanks for all the help. i didnt know it was that cheap, i might buy one some time!
