Just got a abit ip35. Its the dark raider. I popped a e1200 in it and it wont post. went to abits web page cant seem to find that this mobo will run it. funny thing is i didnt see on their web sight that the ip35 PRO does. But it does work in my abit ip35 pro.

Does anyone know if this will work? I also have a D805 but I didnt see anything on there sight that says it will work too. Or what ver of bios will get this all running?

Little help please does a e1200 work in a abit ip35?

the only other cpu i have is a D805. no support there. I do have a q6600 but I dont want to tear down this rig.

it should work. i had a ip35 before and i returned it cause it wouldn't boot with a Q6600 or Q9450. shame

i can get my hands on a e2140 ill try that. Do you think the bios needs to be updated?

It's possible. The E1200 is an Allendale chip, so there's no reason why it wouldn't be compatible with your board, aside from the possibility that you're using a BIOS revision that doesn't recognize it.

ok this is what gets me. Its not listed on there site as a chip that will work on the mobo. nor does it say that a d805 will work to.

so do you think a d805 will work?

It would probably work. The 805D is an older chip, so even if it isn't listed as being compatible, it should be anyway.

let me tear down the rig. gotta pop the hole mobo out to get the heat sink off. ill get back to you thanks.

and ideas what bios would be best of the 65nm stuff?

ok tried a know working 8800gt and a e2140. nothing.

think the mobo is bad. dangit! now i need to get a hold of freaken abit if i can. crap. I just want to say lots of bad works now
