I got this motherboard installed by comp usa and they didn't hook up my front dual USB ports cable and I don't know where to plug it in because it has 8 pin holes and all the USB connectors have 9 pins.
Are you sure the case connectors are actually for USB? Does your case come with a pin-out diagram that you can check against the motherboard? You can probably just plug in an 8-pin USB connection to the top 8 pins on the header. The last pin is either a ground or a NC.
all usb headers have 9 pins.. the side with the extra pin is the ground side. the other side is +5. you don't use the extra pin. and don't plug it in backwards you can cook the mobo.
Get out your manual or look it up online on the MB site.
Look carefully at the pin-out diagram in the manual. USB headers are all made with a "blank" spot. Just match it up correctly. Make damn sure its a USB header or you can fry the MB.
