Hey all,

Whenever I try to boot up I get a "System Failed Memory Test"/No DRAM Detected POST error. I've tried three KGP sticks (Corsair XMS PC3000, and 2x Corsair ValueRAM PC3200) in most every possible configuration with no luck.... cleared CMOS too.

Any Ideas?

I was hoping not to hear that :(

did a bit more googling and found that most people who had this problem ended up RMAing the board. Too bad mine is more than two years old now

Thanks BBS

If you can't RMA the board, you might try checking the chipst cooling solution. I've had boards that started to work after reapplying heatsink paste and/or putting a fan on the northbridge.

why not try some DDR333 in it ?

isn't that what the board supports ?

mine runs smooth

If my memory serves me correctly, Asus has a 3 year warranty on their motherboards. You should be able to RMA that board if it's only 2 years old.

I RMA'd an A7V266-e at the beginning of this year and it's an older board than yours.

I also have an a7v333 it only supports upto ddr333 ram I use micron pc 2700 the kind asus said you should use

I broke down and got another NF7-S. Will be RMAing the Asus board shortly (thanks for the heads up, SmokeRngs!) Got my palomino 2100+ running 1.8GHz (9x200)

I've always used the PC3000/3200 in the A7V333 without a hitch. I think the manual says that it dumbs it down to whatever the FSB is anyway.
