For anyone having battery issues.. I bought this cable, and honestly I couldn't be happier with it... Very pleased with the quality, the fit, and 10' is a good length, too... At $4.49, and free s/h.. I bought the charging station, and have yet to open the second controller, or the station... $4.49 certainly beats $20+ charging station, and $60+ controller... Then again, I never play two player, so there's that.. ;c)

Right, because I had to continuously wash my 360 controller.

As much as I like the DS4, the material on the analog stick just does not work out for me and many others. I got thumbgrips anyways, so it's all good.

And to those that don't believe: try holding down the left analog stick to run around in AC4. Slippage.

Yup, this is exactly the case for me. I have to readjust my thumb before it slips off. That causes me to temporarily stop running in game.

Exactly why I bought the grip its. Have had zero trouble since.

I use the grip its on ps4 and ps3.

On Xbox one I can play all day and no slip the sticks shape is perfect kind of just grabs your thumb.

So according to something I just read, One outsold PS4 last month in the US. I think PS4 availability is a big issue.

PS4 is available in 48 countries while the XB1 is only available in 13 (might have changed since Dec.). What do you expect?

You know, now that I'm a psn subscriber I keep playing my ps3 more and more now lol. Bioshock infinite is free right now. Damn. Need to play grid 2 for it as well since it was free too! I may have to move it back to the living room as it was moved to bedroom blue ray duties. But going back to the ds3 sucks! This will hold me over until BF4 is playable and planetside 2 comes out.

I ended up buying the geltabz and I hate them. I think they are slicker even with my worn thru ds4 stock grips. I guess I'll order the xbone sticks.

Yeah, I am playing the PS3 much more now too.
You can play PS3 games with the DS4 with a USB cable, but it isn't really worth it, IMO.

PS4 is just kind of boring right now and I am having second thoughts. May just sell it and get a new video card.

I havent used my PS4 since the week of release. Total lack of games and no DLNA server.

^^ That. Though, to be fair, if I didn't delay buying AC/BF 4 until the xbox one came out, I wouldn't have anything to play on it, either. Both consoles feel very rushed to me.

Either way, I still have a long backlog on the 360/PC to finish.

AC:BF, COD and BF are all better on the PC anyways. They seriously need to get us the console exclusives. Drive club and watch dogs, etc.

IMO, BF4 is not better on the PC, if BF3 PC is anything to go by. I haven't read the reviews/forums, but I just know it's a mess on the PC. Unless if they implement a proper party play function, which ties into a proper server browser, and remove (or upgrade to something that actually works) PB. But it's all moot, since none of my friends bought BF4 on the PC, after the mess that was BF3 PC.

I think it's kind of funny. I've been posting on here about this since I cancelled my PS4 preorder a month before it released. I knew this would happen and didn't want to fall victim to this crap again. I have done it with every console since Dreamcast and every console launch is stale for months afterwards until the better games come out. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger. Honestly, even before the launch the only game I was even interested in was Watchdogs but they announced the delay of the game like 3 weeks before the console launch so I just cancelled. I knew I would get bored quickly with it and have nothing to play for a while. Same thing happened on the Vita when I got it.

Got a Wii U instead after the Xbox and PS4 release fallout... could not be happier. I'll be getting a PS4 probably before the year is out for sure... lot of good games look to be coming out this year for PS4 that i'm excited about. Just have to wait. lol

This is pretty much me, 100%. Except I actually picked up my pre-ordered PS4 on Friday and returned it, unopened, to Gamestop on Sunday. The guy at the counter looked at me like I had a baby arm growing out of my forehead...he just could not fathom how I could be returning such an awesome console that was in such high demand. I told him Knack and Killzone did not look fun and were getting mostly meh reviews, and that the games I was excited about all got bumped. There will be plenty of PS4s available by the time these games hit the market.

I also bought a Wii U and love it to death. And I still have a huge backlog of great games to play on the PS3 and there's more good stuff coming.

With all the pissing and moaning and fighting about the PS4 and XB1 and Wii U, we're all very lucky to live in a time when there's just so much great gaming available.

Just got mine, still had to wait for a pre-order to not pick up out of 50 units only 3 no shows.

Initial issues where trying to configure the network would turn off the system, skipped it and did it after initial setup, then downloaded the system update and there have been no issues since.

Very clean experience post update, definitely an improvement over the previous gen and the inclusion of Don't Starve for free was pretty awesome!

I look forward to what the future brings us on this system. :)

I'm only getting this early on, as my experience with Sony's product lines is:

Design product. 100% Awesome. Release with some flaws.
Time passes
Want more money. Cuts corners.
Wow, money's awesome. Cuts more corners.
Hey... nobody really used this feature, right? Snip snip.
We might even be able to get away with.. cut.

... Not to mention the build quality over time. So there is my line of thinking, and why I'm no longer a fan of Sony (in general; I never really liked the Playstation lineup).

Took mine back. The drive was acting funky, the game selection is pretty weak, and the overall lack of anything awesome about meant it was relegated to being used as a BR player. Already have a PS 3 that does that so back it went. Had 1 day left before the return policy expired /eek

BF4 on PS4 is no brain either, my friend console reboot randomly with this game.

Since start of december, i haven't had any issue with the game, maybe 1 crash.. that's all. I play with a team and it's not more or less difficult to join games. All my friends are on PC for BF4 so

+ The BF4 chat by itself is entertaining to read ;)

We all started out wanting PS4s, and ended up buying xbox ones due to availability. I still bought a PS4, but nobody I know is interested in buying another console, so my copy of BF4 is on xbox one

The people who wanted ps4's would have pre ordered it in advance. The people who couldn't buy it after release were the people who couldn't make up their minds.
That and they wanted to keep their gamerscore, lol.

I recently had my apartment broken into and suddenly found myself without a PS3. Instead of replacing my PS3, I picked up a PS4 thinking it was the best thing to do. After reading the previous comments in this thread, I have to agree that the console is giving me that 'longing-for-more' feeling.

I almost thought about returning it and waiting until more games come out.

Now that you have it , hold on to it. Good games are coming and your patience will be rewarded. If you were on the fence and didn't buy one I would have recommended waiting.

I've been using my since Christmas and i haven't gotten bored of it yet.

I was on edge whether killzone was going to be nerfed for the masses but it really hasn't at all. Teamwork works better then any game in the series and they kept the unique feel of the game with out sacrificing control. It's simply shame how much hate it gets for not playing like cod. Team death match shouldn't even be in the game as it is obvious it was built around the classes and objectives for warzone. I'm hoping the coop dlc is coming soon as it should tie me over until infamous comes out.

I also been giving war thunder a go on my european account just of the hell of it. Quite fun actually and it's absurd how many dogfights end in midair collisions :p.

I have been playing the hell out of BF4 and Madden 25 on the PS4. BF4 angers me a lot when I play on conquest large, rubber banding all the time. I gave EA a pass since there wasnt many games on the PS4 but this is it for me, after sim city and BF4 they can screw themselves.

I will keep it, that's for sure, it's just that it feels like PS3 2.0. This is especially so since much of the same design and content seemed to be re-hashed. I know avatars aren't the crux of a console, but they have got to be kidding about using the exact same avatars as the PS3! :p

There are several future titles I am excited for as a Playstation fan, but in the meantime I'll probably pick up a used PS3 and continue gaming with my buddies who haven't upgraded yet.

Both systems (PS4/XBone) from an OS standpoint feel like a step back. I think so far only PS4 feels like a true upgrade over previous gen, and even then it isn't a full generational leap (right now).

I'm hoping for good things for both systems as I own both.

Looking forward to inFamous and Titanfall!

With them adding support for 7.1 headsets in this update, hopefully it will fix normal 7.1 (and especially 5.1) surround for everyone else.

Well hopefully they fix some other shit people notice too. That list is looking weak and disappointing. They should be more worried about getting back to feature parity with the PS3.

That is very interesting to hear.

I always like the intricacies of the 360 even though I never owned one. The dashboard looked fun and interactive, especially with the avatars you could make. My thinking was that they were able to focus on the little things a little more due to the extra profit they were making off of sub based XBOX Live.

Now with PS4 charging for online access, I am hoping they can revamp their services a little. PS Plus is cool, what with the free games they offer, but I was hoping they would innovate a little more and create a more immersive experience. I am not big on the whole 'social media' approach they took, but they are trying to target a certain demographic that is ever increasing; definitely smart financially. I just feel that many of us on these forums don't necessarily fit in this group. Sadly we are a minority...is this called getting old?

Just got a PS4 for free (someone gave one to me) and I'm a hardcore PC gamer, always have been. I kind of don't know what to do with the PS4....I'm interested in it from a media streaming device standpoint and also I do like car racing games.

What games are worth getting that are fun/unique to the console?

Sadly there's no media streaming support at the moment. For racing games the only one out right now is need for speed but that's also available on PC. Driveclub and The Crew should be out this year and look promising.

I picked up Lego Marvel Super Heros on sale on PSN for $29.99. Used the $10 PSN voucher that came with the PS4 so only paid $19.99.

Agreed.

Right now the only real exclusives are Killzone : Shadowfall and Resogun (which is amazing). But Infamous : Second Son is coming , Driveclub as was mentioned and I would imagine a bunch of exclusives will be announced at E3 this year. Killzone is very pretty but only an average shooter , however I still recommend it. You being a PC gamer though you'll probably not be onboard with a console FPS shooter. But its worth a rental.

It'll probably take a year or two before the PS4 is a good media streamer. Right now the PS3 is the vastly superior streaming platform. And superior Blu Ray player.

Exclusives are going to take time to reach these new platforms. Sony bet heavily on third parties for the launch so I'm expecting Sony will drop some pretty big bombs at E3 in terms of whats going on internally at their development studios.

Video of some games coming out.

Here's a picture of just about every game coming out for the PS4.

ps4-games-list-2014.jpg

Looking forward to,
  • Destiny
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • Drive Club
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Lords of the Fallen
  • Mad Max
  • Sniper Elite 3
  • The Crew
  • The Division
  • The Elder Scrolls Online
  • The Evil Within
  • The Order 1886
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Thief
  • Watch Dogs
(might have missed some!)

Kingdom Hearts 3, Mirror's Edge 2, and Final Fantasy XV too, but are still TBA release dates so maybe 2015 games.

Some I'm getting for the PC, but some good games are coming. Also PS Now.

And people really need to stop bitching about buying a new console if they have no damn patience. Yeah, I'm a little butt hurt. The lack of patience is just ridiculous, especially with so many games coming out within just one year.
