What light exactly is blinking?
From the pix on newegg I see no "transfer" light...

That said, when I was with comcast I remember the activity light on my comcast issued VOIP modem was always blinking. I think that was due to the fact that I had comcast voice at the time.

when your PC is off, your NIC can still be on
it is likely seding packets to see if your PC if on or not.

That is if it is the link light from your Modem to your PC, or if you have a router it is sending back and forth between the router.

if you got wireless, turn it off and see if it still does it.
 
Probably un-plug everything and see what happens. Then plug one device at a time to check if your link light activities.

Normal as everyone said. I assume that since you have all those devices you also have a router?
That was the setup I ran a few months ago. That link light was jumping 24/7 :eek:
It's likely blinking just because your router is connected to the modem.

But yeah normal.
 
It's only normal if you have been hacked! YOU'VE ALL BEEN HACKED! Oh no that includes me too! :p

It's normal don't worry about it.
 
The activity light on your cable modem will blink even if you have your devices unplugged, due to arp and other background "noise/traffic" on the cable internet network. If this really concerns you so much, just unplug the cable modem when not in use. Otherwise ignore it as this is normal for most cable internet networks.
 
sorry bro, downloading porn wirelessly from your cable modem. most of the girls appear to be over 18 so you probably should not have a problem with police.
