A weird problem

Hey guys i have been having a weird problem with my computer in gaming. Every so often in far cry and splinter cell pandora tommorow, it will just pause for a couple of seconds. the sound still plays but nothing else will happen. Far cry will force my computer to rebot too its very weird. SO any suggestions on what i do

768 corsair xms pc2700 ddr 333
wd 80 gig 8mb cache
lite on burner
nec dvd drive
 
what video card are you using?? What drivers are you using?? Is your video card and CPU getting cooled?? Maybe heat?? Could be alot of things.
 
Whoops forgot about the video card i got a leadtek gf4 ti4600. RIght now my cpu runs about 41c to probably about 48-49c cpu wise. I dont know why its doing this....my computer is ok...i thought it would be ok
 
Quit downloading, jk..... Could be all sort of reasons, but try the common, overheating, PSU, memory(mem86)
 
Do a full virus scan and run AdAware and Spybot S&D to weed out any spyware.
 
lol haha i actually think its my hd because i have been gettin the click of death from my main wd i think :(
 
at least hard drives are cheap :D
I would try a reformat first though or if you don't want to do that go buy a new hard drive and transfer what you need to save to ythe new hard drive.
