Sorry about the bad colors above. Not sure what the issue is. Believe me, it does not look like that on my desktop.

Testing out and trying to bounce my flash/ control a slave flash. In other news, I got this X201 max-spec two days ago. Loving the size and the general ruggedness and build quality of the Thinkpad!

Cheers!

Interesting photos. Is it just me or is there a ton of noise in these pictures?

Took this recently on a trip to Moab. Hosted from FB, so I'm sorry for the small resolution and quality.

A couple from beach week (ongoing)

[Edit - will have to repost - Lightroom and Flickr are doing funky things with my links. I think if I edit or tag at all and then republish, it treats it as a new photo on Flickr...]

Nothing exciting, but it's fun to take pictures of the beers I drink.

Stone Imperial Russian Stout pictured above.

Both of these were taken with the Canon Macro Filter 500D on a Nikon 10-24mm. I like the effect it gave to the blurred background. The filter actually reduced the field of view which I had read about and was cool to see it first hand. FYI for those not knowledgeable in these things, the macro filters are normally meant to be used on telephoto lenses.

At 10mm.
