First, I am a coder, not a tech
That said, I'm installing a water cooling system on my computer. I want to turn it on to test if everything is working but I don't want to fry my CPU and GPU. Especially my GPU.
Could someone tell me if it would be safe to plug the PSU in the MoBo to power it up without installing the CPU?
Another solution would be to connect together pins 13 and 14, according to this :
Pin Signal Color 1 Color 2
1 3.3V orange violet
2 3.3V orange violet
3 GND black black
4 5V red red
5 GND black black
6 5V red red
7 GND black black
8 PW_OK grey orange
9 5V_SB violet brown
10 12V yellow yellow
11 3.3V orange violet
12 -12V blue blue
13 GND black black
14 PS_ON green grey
15 GND black black
16 GND black black
17 GND black black
18 -5V white white
19 5V red red
20 5V red red
To do so, what type of wire should I use?
