i just replaced the mother board in my uncles computer. i fired it up. and no i have no video. any ideas what could be wrong or is my board doa?

neither the agp gfx card will display or the internal gfx that the board comes with stock.

Did it work before you put it in? Does it beep like it's posting?

yea what kind of beep codes are you getting? does it have a diag led readout? if so, what does it say?. if the board does not beep when you stoke it up, take out the memory and boot it, see if you get any beep codes then. are you sure that your display is functioning?
do this stuff and report back. dammit.

the gfx card worked before i put the new board in. im getting no post codes , no led also. i'll have to try again tomorrow morning on the ram. i put the thing away for now, getting late. ill try it in the morning and report my findings.

Maybe be sure that the BIOS settings are ok when using external Videocard for example put the onboard video on of en vica versa.

Be sure to have the right videocard drivers in both cases....look on the Internet to be sure.

Your description is too vague to pinpoint the problem. Can you even go into the BIOS when it does the POST? Or...you just don't see anything period. It could be a power supply problem that's not compatible with the motherboard. I had a case where the power supply turned on the computer but no beep and yet no video display comes up. The power supply put out 5V, 3.3V and 12V from the connectors when I checked it with my multimeter. Everything powered up and the power supply delivered power to the board and fans. But then, just a swap of the power supply to another one and it booted with a display on the video. As much as we don't expect a power supply to be the culprit simply because there is power coming on well may be the problem in some cases.
